What is your role here at Rabobank?
I started my banking career with Rabobank back in Narrogin, WA which is also where I grew up, before moving to Adelaide to take on the role as a Credit Analyst, moving onto a Senior Credit Analyst position shortly after. I’ve been with Rabobank for 4 years now and prior to that, worked in Accounting. Most recently I’ve been promoted to Credit Manager which is an exciting new challenge to jump in to.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
Having grown up on a farm and in a farming community myself, I’m very passionate when it comes to the agriculture industry. The most rewarding aspect of my role is knowing that my input supports our farmers to achieve their goals, grow their enterprise and on a much bigger scale, assist them to feed the world.
How do you help our clients?
Having an agricultural background gives me an understanding of the peaks and troughs of farming and how this can effect a customer’s business needs. This awareness of factors such as current market conditions and seasonal variations helps to identify what the funding requirements for that business are going to be going forward. With this knowledge, I can assist our Account Managers with various finance requests whether it be pre-harvest working capital requirements, purchasing additional livestock or acquiring new property.
What makes Rabobank different for you?
Our focus on agriculture and our strong grass roots. You can see this commitment from a global level all the way through to a branch level. Everyone that works for Rabobank is passionate about what they do and what they’re helping our farmers to achieve and that really makes a difference.
