Branch Manager, Mackay QLD
- Loves to get out on farm with clients
- Helps clients grow in a sustainable way for the next generations
- Proud of Rabobank’s co-operative values
What is your role here at Rabobank?
I’m the Branch Manager for the Mackay region in Queensland. I have been in this role since joining Rabobank almost 5 years ago, and spent three years in banking in the Northern Territory prior to that. I grew up in Proserpine, so it was nice to return home after spending some time interstate.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I love being able to get out on farm with our clients; when you can see, touch and smell the farming operation, and really understand why our clients do what they do - which is essentially feed the world.
How do you help our clients?
It differs from client to client, but essentially it’s about how can we assist in making the client more successful. If they have a successful farming enterprise, we are successful, and usually able to then support them in other aspects of their business such as assisting them to grow in farm size, grow vertically in terms of efficiencies (increasing yield etc) and grow to a point where the next generation is coming into the business, all whilst ensuring growth is managed in a sustainable way.
What makes Rabobank different for you?
At Rabobank we reinvest 100% of our deposits into Australian agribusiness. The fact we are a Co-operative instead of a shareholder driven organisation is fantastic.
I love that the bank is committed to continuously improving our delivery methods, such as updating our internet banking, mobile apps and other services that give value to our clients. That and being solely agri focused, I love everything that Rabobank stands for.
