Rabobank named Australia’s ‘most recommended agribusiness bank’ for second consecutive year

The valuable role agricultural banking specialist Rabobank has played supporting farmers through the recent seasonal challenges has been recognised at the 2020 DBM Australian Financial Awards.

For the second year in a row, Rabobank was named ‘Australia’s Most Recommended Agribusiness Bank’, the award based on findings from national research agency DBM Consultants.*

The bank was presented with the accolade at the 2020 DBM Australian Financial Awards, held on March 4 in Sydney.

Rabobank Australia CEO Peter Knoblanche said the award was recognition of the meaningful relationships Rabobank maintains with its clients.

“With drought and bushfires plaguing large areas of rural Australia in 2019, Rabobank has maintained an unwavering commitment to supporting our clients through these challenging conditions,” he said.

“It’s heartening to receive this award, and it demonstrates how valued our client relationships genuinely are, in the good times and in the more challenging.”

Mr Knoblanche said the award was testament to the calibre and commitment of the bank’s employees – both in its rural network and throughout the organisation.

“As part of a specialist global agribusiness banking cooperative, a focus on food and agribusiness and excellent customer service is at our core,” he said.

The DBM Australian Financial Awards are based from a survey of more than 80,000 consumers and businesses regarding their attitudes towards Australia’s financial institutions and their products – the largest financial services research program in the country.

Research revealed that of all the agribusiness banks surveyed, Rabobank was the most likely to be recommended by clients.

“We are thrilled to have been acknowledged by our clients through these awards, and the role we are playing supporting Australia’s agricultural industry,” Mr Knoblanche said.

* The award is based on information collected from the DBM Atlas research program – feedback from over 80,000 businesses and retail customers, January 2019 through December 2019.
