A strong appetite among listeners for specialist food and agricultural sector knowledge has seen agribusiness bank Rabobank’s podcast channel – RaboResearch Podcasts: Australia and New Zealand – reach the impressive milestone of one million downloads.
The popular free podcasts, hosted by RaboResearch food and agri analysts, have been providing a “fast and easy way” to engage with the latest local and global food and agricultural research findings and industry developments, recently clocking up 540 episodes.
RaboResearch general manager for Australia and New Zealand Stefan Vogel said topics covered range from the latest developments in the grains, livestock, dairy, fibre and farm input sectors through to “everything from the impact of the Israel/Hamas war on Australian agriculture to the drivers of chocolate price inflation”.
Mr Vogel said while the podcasts were an accessible way for primary producers to keep up with the latest knowledge and industry insights while going about their normal onfarm work, they were also proving popular with listeners involved in all aspects of the food and agribusiness industry, including industry leaders, as well as anyone with an interest in agriculture.
And while the majority of listeners are based in Australia and New Zealand, the podcasts have also been attracting a global following with downloads in 85 countries, across Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas.
Mr Vogel said RaboResearch’s Australian and New Zealand analysts were regularly joined by international colleagues and special guests on the podcasts, which are produced on average twice weekly.
RaboResearch Australia and New Zealand comprises a team of 11 specialist agri commodities analysts, who are part of a network of 85 research analysts worldwide focussed on providing comprehensive, leading-edge food and agribusiness research for the bank’s clients.
